Two Dogs
I heard a rad Native American story this weekend that I wanted to share with y’all…
There was a minister visiting an Indian Chief to visit his tribe. After praying for him and his people he let the Chief know that he would return in 1 month. When the minster returned he asked the Chief how he was doing. The Chief replied, “We’re at war”. The minister looked confused and asked, “Where?”.
The Chief looked at the minister and pointed to his heart.
The chief then said, “I have two dogs, a white dog and a black dog, they’re at war inside me everyday.” The minister replied, “Who wins?”. The chief said, “the one I feed the most”.
I was thinking about this story the last couple of days and wanted to make an illustration representing it. I heard the story from my pastor and I believe that it can relate to anyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re religious or not, we’re all at battle with good and bad and it’s important that we know this. Below are some words that represent the white dog and black dog, let me know what ya think.
